Course Objectives
The HRBA Programming course therefore aims at building the necessary skills to enable development programmers to design interventions that results into fulfillments of rights - skills in developing programs that empower people living in poverty and exclusion to know, assert and enjoy their rights.
Course Content
To use human rights principles in programming and designing development interventions
To facilitate communities to use human rights principles to effectively claim and enjoy their rights.
Planning HRBA work - Identifying, analyzing and contextualizing the violation, abuse and denial of human rights
Designing HRBA interventions - Intervening to promote and protect human rights – Strategies to promote and protect human rights
Monitoring and evaluating the interventions aimed at promoting and protecting human rights
Target Group
The course aims at benefiting managers and programme staff of CSO, programme Donor agencies, planning staff of government agencies at all levels.
